I’m all about earthy tones

& real moments

HI, I’M LAURA!

Many years ago, I turned my passion for black & white film photography into a career and love what I do every day. It all started in high school when I was gifted my dad’s old film camera. To view the world in black and white gave a whole new perspective and allowed me to focus on motion, light and emotion. I’d pop on my headphones and develop in the darkroom for hours after school. It’s a meditative journey and I have kept it up to this day.

Most of my photography was in e-commerce until I shot my first wedding. Although digitally shot, I instantly felt the same feeling that black & white film photography provided - seeing candid moments, light and emotion. That’s when I knew I needed to change paths. It fills my heart to capture your love story, to be surrounded by happy humans and to capture beautiful life events as they unfold. I live for the the ability to preserve memories that my clients can feel over and over through film & digital imagery.

A LITTLE MORE PERSONAL

My happy place - any place alongside water, watching the sunrise or sunset

Born and raised - always a Jersey girl at heart but definitely have that California spirit

Bucket list travel - See the northern lights & go on a food tour through Japan

Traveling to soon - Seattle to hike in the Hoh Rainforest and oyster tour around Skagit Valley - spring ‘26 hopefully!

Random fact - I met my love in California, coincidentally he grew up an hour away from me on the east coast!

My dream - to create a coffee table book of my film photography with poetry, landscapes, self-portraits.…

My Process

My style is for lovers, day dreamers, romantics, adventurers and those who cherish all the little moments in life

One-of-a-kind

Film is dreamy and each photograph is perfectly imperfect. All clients will receive a mix of digital images in color and black & white with one roll of 35mm B&W film included (25-36 images) and sent as digital images. Additional rolls available.

Let me know if you have specific poses or ideas you desire on film, we’ll make sure to get those and more!

Real moments

I’m very much about candids. On outdoor shoots and in studio sessions I prioritize your authenticity and genuine interactions.

Organic flow

Every shoot evolves organically, flowing within the environment, the light and your comfortability. I look for carefree, intimate moments without interrupting the energy. You’ll get everything from candids to blurry dancing photos to tiny details and classic poses.

We’ll get to know each other beforehand, so shoot day feels friendly and comfortable. We’ll figure out outfits, pose ideas, timing and locations ahead of time to ensure a seamless process.

Side note! Small wedding weekends are a great time for family reunion photos, so bring an outfit change if desired and it feels like two shoots in one! These can be done in the morning before festivities begin.

T & J - Laura is a delight with children. She was able to calm our crying toddler and eventually get her to smile!

K & S - The quality of work speaks for itself - it's beautiful. We will cherish our wedding photos forever and can't wait to share them with family for years to come.
